TEA THERAPY: HONEY GINGER LEMON

4:43 PM

I got a very bad cold and it’s very irritating. I couldn’t work properly, my nose’s running, and my voice turned into a voice of a frog. Super irritating. Beside consuming medicine, here I would like to share my secret recipe to fight the flu. Five thousand years ago, teas were specially blended from plants for medicinal properties and today tea can still be used for health and to prevent illness. Do you believe in tea therapy? I do. Tea really gives many benefits for life right?

As the weather gets colder and windier (like now in Bali it’s already rainy), flu and cold is the main health problem. No matter what you do to boost your immune system to prevent you from having cold, you are bound to get at least one cold a year. A good cup of warm beverage sounds really nice right now. And I found a remedy for a bad cold, a very simple recipe you could try on your own: honey ginger lemon tea.

Honey: soothes sore throat and also boost immune system.

Ginger: good for digestive system, gives a warm sensation, helpful to dizziness, nausea and remove toxins in your body.

Lemon: high vitamin C which help to boost your immune system, reduce inflammation and swelling.

How to a make cups of honey ginger lemon tea? Boil water in a saucepan meanwhile you grate 2 inch piece of ginger root. Turn the boiling water down to a simmer and add ginger and simmer for 15 minutes. Remove pan from heat and add lemon. Add 2 big tablespoons of honey and stir your tea. Strain and enjoy them while warm. When you are using tea as medicine, you need at least 3 times a day to increase its effectiveness.

I hope this tips help you to fight flu or prevent you from them. Happy rainy season everyone!
