| "Start where you are, use what you have, do what you can, Have A fresh and meaningful start, dear 2026." |
Hello there, welcome to my very first post this year. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season surrounded by your loved ones. The time in between two years is the time to slow down for a while. For my first blog post of the year, I'd like to start with wishing all of you an incredible year ahead. Wishfully hoping all the sorrows and bad lucks last year replaced with joy and fortune. As we step into 2026, like in every new year before, it is the time of the year to think about what we want for the coming year: what I want to let go of, what I want to achieve and what I want to improve. Not just new year resolutions but a quiet moment to listen to your own self, analyzing what we've been through, embracing the lessons learned, releasing what no longer serves us, and stepping into the future with clarity and renewed purpose. And here is what I want to do and wish for 2026.
...
1. Rediscovering The Joy of Reading
If there is one thing I absolutely loved to and plan to carry into 2026, it is to read books again. Just like many of you, I find joy through reading. In 2025, I started to buy books again but I hardly found time to read. Here's a small collection of books I left unfinished and would willing to complete this year:
- An Intimate History of Premature Birth by Sarah DiGregorio
- Thrivers by Michele Borba
- The 5 Types of Wealth by Sahil Bloom
2. Rekindling My Love For Art And Photography
If there is one thing I absolutely love to do is capturing the moment. Through the lens, I slow down, observe, and find beauty in the ordinary. Remembering the events, recalling the memories inside the photographs, preserving the feeling, the story, the fragment of time that can never be recreated. It allows me to stay present, to connect with my surroundings, and to express emotions that words often can’t. Capturing the moment isn’t just my passion; it’s how I see, remember, and appreciate the world around me. One of the reason I blog. To keep it all closets to my heart.
3. Realigning My Body and Soul Through Mindful Movement
If there is one thing in 2025 that I absolutely want to carry on to 2026 is strengthening your body through work out and exercise. Days in the gyms, pilates every 2-3 times a week or home mat exercises, I would definitely continue to do these things. To keep your self healthy is one of the greatest things you could do for your own body.
4. Returning My Passion Towards Fashion
If there is one thing I could remember I am really into, it is fashion. On my days off this holiday, I watch runways again. Reawakening my love about style and attire. Fashion is the most powerful art, it's movement, design and architecture all in one. It shows the world who we are and who we'd like to be.
5. Rebalancing My Life Throughout The Last Year of Residency
Last but not least, If there is one thing I would like to accomplish, I want to finalize my residency program. So many hard work and praying I am giving into this one....
Pictures in this post was from my last trip to East Java with a gift-book from my sister titled 101 Essays That Will Change the Way You Think by Brianna Wiest. One quote from the book that I stick to is "Accomplishing goals is not success. How much you expand in the process is." Thank you so much for reading. I hope this inspire you to have faith in this year, too.
