ALWAYS A ROMANTIC AT HEART

Yes, I am. I see the world through rose-colored glasses. I choose to notice the good in people, the beauty hidden in the everyday. Even my blog’s name—LE LOVE—is a quiet confession. I am, and have always been, a romantic to the core with a twist of melancholic heart, loving all the bittersweetness of love. Not the cliché kind of romance, but the kind rooted in dreaming—idealizing connection, imagining love stories, and valuing intensity and depth. I’m drawn to deep emotional bonds, to intimacy that transcends gestures and gifts. It’s never been about flowers (although I really loveeee flowers), presents, or perfectly chosen words, but about the closeness that lives beneath all of that. This isn’t naïveté. It’s a conscious choice—to embrace vulnerability and hold onto hope amid life’s complexities. As I’ve grown, I’ve learned that having a romantic heart also means understanding that love is about sharing the joy of life and love, not just hoarding it for yourself. And as The Marginalian wrote on their latest post: If love is the quality of attention we pay something other than ourselves and hate is the veil of not understanding ourselves, then loving the world more — the other word for which is kindness — is largely a matter of deepening our awareness and sharpening our attention on both sides of the skin that membranes the self. I will always be a Romantic at heart.

This year, I’m choosing consistency. As I mentioned in my New Year post, I want to fall back in love with art and photography, and gently return to fashion—the way it once made me feel. More photos, more outfits, more moments captured with intention. More than anything, this is about reconnecting with myself. A journey back to myself. Having the courage to be who I truly am—without hesitation. I feel that this is the year I finally know myself with certainty: what suits me, what my personality feels like, even what my personal fragrance is (Jo Malone Peony & Suede Blush). From my everyday makeup routine and the haircut I’ve kept for years, to my light spring color palette, romantic and feminine style, and the kinds of books I’m drawn to—everything that genuinely represents me. This journey is about embracing all of it. Fully and unapologetically.

Pictures in this post today are moments for my birthday, I went to this beautiful place with my husband and daughter for lunch, Jumeirah Bali. Wrapped in a place where time moves gently, guided by the rhythm of the sea. Heritage-inspired architecture rises gracefully among lush gardens, each detail breathing quiet beauty. The view stretches endlessly, taking my breath with it. In that space, I felt completely at home—rooted, calm, and fully myself. I can’t wait to discover more places that feel so deeply aligned with who I am, just like this one. Until the next story unfolds, there is more to come.
